About SpeakU's Competitors

New on the scene through Demo.com, SpeakU does not really have any direct competitors as of yet. Since the idea behind SpeakU is a fusion of popular social media sites, such as Twitter, with blogger sites, SpeakU's competition is two-fold. However, when word spreads about this new type of platform for bloggers to draw in intentional audiences and facilitate global discussions through the user-friendly and well-known means of social media, many are sure to imitate it.
SpeakU and the competition
For now, as established on Demo.com by SpeakU's CEO Chris Crabtree, indirect competitors to SpeakU are social media sites and blog publishing sites, along with all those aggregating, mimicking sites that fall somewhere along the spectrum. As a social media site, Twitter only offers enough characters to direct attention through links to more content-rich publications. On the other end of the spectrum, blogging sites like WordPress offer a platform for publishing large amounts of content but do not have the same accessibility that makes social media sites popular. There are also sites like Quora.com that have a sort of hybrid idea of the two forums in a question and answer structure, but they have not gone viral.
With so many diverse users demanding different features for their social media and blogging sites, the options available can seem daunting. However, with the launch of a well thought-out and easily navigable website like SpeakU, thousands of users are bound to find that this social-blogger fusion is the proper combination platform to introduce their personal publications to their social circles.
