What Is SpeakU?

Speaku, founded in 2011, is a social information network that ties together the world of blogging and online forums together with the real-time interaction of social networks. The goal of Speaku is to bring the lengthier blogs and forum posts together with immediate updates from social networks, such as Twitter and Facebook, to provide more useful information to a larger audience.

Posting, following and joining groups

When you join the Speaku network, you can join groups with others who share your interests. You can follow others' posts and responses, and see right away who has responded to any of your posts. This is accomplished by an email-type screen that shows the posts and responses in the order in which they are submitted. Responses bring a post back to the top of the list.

A place for bloggers

If you have existing blogs elsewhere online, you can link your blogs to your Speaku account. This allows you to gain more followers and share your content with a wider audience. It also gives you a larger potential group of respondents to your blogs.

Knowing the audience

As you start typing a post, any keywords in your post automatically shows people following those keywords at the bottom of the screen. This gives you an immediate feel for the number of people who are likely to read the post.
